When passing a large truck, you should:

Don’t return to your original lane too quickly after passing a large vehicle. Look for the entire front of the vehicle in your rearview mirror before changing lanes and do not slow down. Truck and bus drivers need nearly two times more room to stop than other drivers.

• Re-enter your original lane and immediately slow down.
• Give the truck plenty of space before re-entering the lane.
• Re-enter the lane whenever you feel like it.
