Children are required to wear their seat belts:
Florida law requires that a fastened seat belt must be worn in all motor vehicles on public roadways by the driver and passengers in the front seat. All children under the age of 18 are also required to wear their fastened seat belts, regardless of where they are seated in the vehicle.
- Anytime they are in a moving car.
- If their parents think they should.
- If they choose to do so.
- Only if they weigh under 100 pounds.
