When your driver license expires, you may:
You may renew your license within six months of its expiration date. Every Hawaii state driver license is void after the expiration date, with no grace period. Your license may be renewed within a year of the expiration date.
- Drive during the 90-day grace period.
- Drive as long as you are accompanied by a licensed driver.
- Renew your driver license within a year of the expiration date but may not drive with the expired license.
- Drive to and from work only.
